| Set in the delightful rolling Artois countryside, our centre in the town of Ardres close to St Omer is a charming old market town, unspoilt and with many buildings of historical interest. The centre is located within a network of lakes and has its own water sports lake - ideal for teaching the basics - and purpose-built toilet and showering facilities. The town centre is a short walk away and has a selection of local shops, bars and eating establishments, including a pizzeria and friterie. Nearby, the coastline is well known for its excellent windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing, alongside an annual music festival in Calais. Go-karting is also available within a short distance. Bastille Day features highly on the social calendar, with up to 150,000 participants celebrating each July in the town centre. There are two large Decathlon stores close by and Cite Europe for your outdoor shopping needs.
