| 1. Send us your application
Complete an application form as accurately as possible, including details of your qualifications and any relevant experience. If you decide to print one out, please include photocopies of N.G.B certificates and a copy of your driving licence. Take me straight to the application form 2. Test the temperature at interview We will be holding selection and interview weekends at our centre based in the Brecon Beacons and at our Head office in Birmingham. The purpose of this is to introduce you to life at Acorn and what is required of you and for you to meet us face to face. Some interviews will be held over the phone depending on the distance you will need to travel to attend the interview. 3. Sign your contract of employment Once you have been selected to join the Acorn Adventure team you will be sent a contract of employment. This will need to be signed and returned within 10 days to accept your position. At this stage you will also receive the Employee’s Handbook which should answer all questions you may have regarding your employment. We want you to be as informed as possible regarding your life at centre and the Handbook has been specifically written for you. 4. Receive your final travel details A short time before departure, final details of your travel arrangements will be sent to you. Within this pack Acorn will also include insurance forms, your centre details and a list of essential items to take with you to centre. 6. Life at the Centre As part of Acorn Adventures' Safety Management Systems all our staff receive ongoing training and monitoring when you are at centre. At the end of the season we invite all our staff that have completed their contracts to the end of season get together in the middle of September where we put on a number of NGB courses for them to use their seasons experiences to improve their personal and/or coaching qualifications. The get together concludes with a free BBQ and party.
